John Juzek Model 90 Special Edition Fiddle
Product Description
Not an outfit: You must purchase a case and bow.
John Juzek (U.S., formerly of Prague) Model 90 Violin (instrument made in China); custom fiddle set-up by Shay Garriock for D. Rickert.
John Juzek began producing master quality violins in Schoenbach, Czechoslovakia in 1900. He established a violin shop, then called the Czeckoslovak Musical instrument Company, in New York City around 1920. The company is now called Metropolitan Music Co. and is one of the most respected supplier of instruments and tools to the lutherie trade.
The Juzek Model 90 starts as a value priced entry-level violin. Shay Garriock (SG Music Co.) worked his magic on the sound post fit and position, nut, bridge and fingerboard. Shays work, topped off with replacement of the cheap original strings with full-bodied medium-heavy tension Prelude strings, results in a really fine-sounding inexpensive fiddle.
Note: Instrument only. Make it an outfit: See the affordable bow and case options.
