Pirastro Eudoxa Wound Gut Strings, Set, 4/4 size
Product Description
Pirastro Eudoxa Wound Gut Strings: These are “modern” gut violin strings (with an aluminum E) that are also suitable for use on late 18th Century Pochettes and mid-19th Century Fiddles if absolute authenticity (but close to it) is not necessary. If you require absolute period authenticity, especially for pre-19th Century instruments, see the Pirastro Chorda plain gut strings.
Eudoxa strings have an excellent warm sound and play well in all ranges. Pirastro's Eudoxa gut strings are considered by many to be the standard of gut strings, and are extremely popular among classical players. While more stable than plain (unwound) gut strings, there is a break-in time and susceptibility to humidity and temperature changes, so your tuning pegs need to be in excellent order.
Available in 4/4 size only, with either a loop or ball-end e-string. A single fine-tuner is typically used for the e-string only.
E: Aluminum
A: Aluminum-wound gut
D: Aluminum-wound gut
G: Silver-wound gut

I don't think that you will find the expertise we possess in appropriate use and setting up your instrument at the super stores, however...your choice!
